Baseball players are to wear golf clothing as they play for charity.

A charity event will see a number of acclaimed baseball players wearing golf clothing as they take to the fairways.Writing for the Pasadena Star-News, columnist Jill Painter reported that a number of stars of the sport will face each other on the greens as part of the Major League Baseball Urban Youth Academy Celebrity Golf Tournament.
Manager of the Cincinnati Reds Dusty Baker will meet veteran player Frank Robinson and Angels' general manager Tony Reagins among others as part of the fifth annual event.
Despite not being a keen golfer, Dusty Baker will proudly wear his golf clothing in order to raise money to allow underprivileged children to get involved with baseball.
"Times are different. Times are tough. ... Baseball has gone to the affluent because of the cost of the equipment, the cost of baseball gloves, everything. It's unbelievable," he said.
Earlier in the year, the Canadian Olympic ice skating duo of Scott Moir and Tessa Virtue were spotted wearing golf apparel at one of their regular games.
