Golf clothing has been worn by a number of US baseball players for a fundraising event.

A number of former Major League Baseball players in the US have sported golf clothing while taking part in a fundraising event.Cal Ripken Jr - who competed for the Baltimore Orioles between 1981 and 2001 - and 34 other ex-professionals selected their golf apparel before taking to the fairways at the Colonial Golf and Tennis Club in Lower Paxton Township to generate funds to be put towards the development of a multipurpose field at the Boys and Girls Club of Central Pennsylvania in Allison Hill, Harrisburg, Penn Live reports.
Among those participating in the round were famous names in the ball game Bill Mazeroski, Phil Niekro and Rollie Fingers, as well as Nascar driver Kasey Kahne.
The laying of the surface is being sponsored by the Cal Ripken Senior Foundation and Ollie's Bargain Outlet and is set to get underway in spring 2012.
It is expected that the development will take between three to six months to complete.
