Golf clothing will be worn at a forthcoming event by one basketball star.

A basketball star is to swap his short-sleeved jersey for golf clothing later in the year.According to an announcement from the American Century Championship, the player will take to the fairways wearing his best golf apparel in July as he participates in a celebrity event.
Fredette, who was recently named as National Player of the Year by the US Basketball Writers Association, will join more than 80 famous names from the world of sports and entertainment on the greens at the 22nd American Century Golf Championship.
Some notable attendees include Tom Glavine, Tim Matheson, Rob Morrow, Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley and Aaron Rodgers.
NBC Sports is set to broadcast the event, funds from which will go to the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer sufferers.
KVUE News recently reported that a spinal cord charity would benefit from money raised at this year's Lone Star Celebrity Golf Tournament.
