A golf fashion writer has promoted buying golf apparel.

A golf fashion blogger has hit out at claims that it is better to give than to receive.Writing for Clublink Life, PGA golf fashion insider Mike McAllister responded to this truism by stating that fans of the sport should reward themselves with some new golf apparel.
He claimed that golf shoes can be a great starting point for self-gifting and highlighted the golf fashion of Ryan Moore as an example of what to look for.
Mr McAllister went on to promote club head covers and noted that old fashioned offerings have been replaced with new and exciting alternatives from firms such as iliac Golf.
"Even the most ardent of cart riders among us will be enticed to walk and carry in 2011 when he or she lays their eyes on [iliac Golf's] Purist Vintage," he said.
In a separate article on his Chapeau Noir golf fashion blog, Mr McAllister pointed to Sports Illustrated's Golf Book as a great source of apparel inspiration.
