Colin Montgomerie wore golf apparel as he spoke to soldiers in Afghanistan.

Glenmuir golf apparel fan Colin Montgomery has visited British servicemen and women stationed in Afghanistan to provide a morale boost for the troops. The Scot sported golf clothing as he posed with the soldiers, holding the Ryder Cup up for the photo opportunity.
Speaking to Telegraph Sport, the player explained his trip affected him greatly, describing it as a life-changing experience.
He stated: "We all should live a little like I have lived this last week and realise how lucky everyone is in Britain."
The competitor - who turned professional in 1987 with a handicap of plus three - said missing an easy putt will no longer seem quite so important after having spent time with those serving their country on the front line.
However, Montgomerie did explain the 18-hole game has a large presence in Afghanistan, noting some troops use the 300-yard rifle range at Camp Bastion to practice their swing.
