An opinion columnist has queried the usage of golf clothing in a business situation.Writing for the Daily American, Nick Jacobs examined the ways in which fashion has changed over the years and looked at how attire can erode the social distance between classes.
However, he took issue with the style displayed by those who opt for golf apparel in a business setting.
"How about the no shine, no tie, no-style business look? Once again, the lack of commitment to fashion is evident; a golf shirt and khakis with a pair of un-shined shoes," said Mr Jacobs.
The columnist went on to state that in some technology companies, it is "a general philosophy" that those who sport suits are "uncreative, shallow thinkers" and noted how times have changed in the business world.
Last month, Khaki Crusader columnist Sean Hotchkiss observed the increasing popularity of coloured golf apparel among celebrities at the recent AT&T Pro-Am event.
