A golf clothing pundit has hailed the attire of Bill Murray
Published: 18 February 2011
A golf clothing commentator has examined the attire of Bill Murray at the recent AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-AM.Writing in his PGA Column, the Man in the Black Hat - aka Mike McAllister of Chapeaunoir Golf - hailed the amateur player as "personable" and "funny".
However, he was less positive about his golf apparel, which he claimed was a dubious style choice that could work only for him.
"All silly hats aside, Murray looks like something the gopher dragged in - and honestly, we expect nothing less. The full-on rumpled look actually works for him," said Mr McAllister.
He went on to say that there would be a "serious problem" if Murray were to turn up in Monterey in 2012 wearing high-spec performance golf apparel.
Earlier in the month, Mr McAllister praised the golf clothing decision of Tommy Gainey, who is famous for mimicking baseball style with his dual-glove ensemble.
