Golf apparel has been worn by a number of former Scottish footballers who have taken part in a charity tournament.Ex players including Tom Boyd, Willie Pettigrew, Andy Walker, Alan Rough and Dougie Arnott turned out at Colville Park Golf Club to take part in the Hugh Reynolds event, the Bellshill Speaker reports.
It was the second year running that the spectacle has taken place, after fundraiser Tony Reynolds came up with the idea when his father Hugh passed away due to cancer.
In its first year, the gathering generated almost £12,000 for St Andrew's Hospice, while proceeds from this year's meet will be split between a number of causes, including the Good Child Foundation, the West Scotland Deaf Children's Society and Spirit Aid.
The Natchez Democrat recently reported that a host of famous faces - including outgoing president of the Mississippi-Louisiana chapter of the National Football Foundation Walt Brown - wore golf clothing at the Joe Fortunato Celebrity Golf Classic.
