Generation gap 'creates obstacles' for golf apparelGolf apparel difficulties are being caused by the generation gap of players at one club.

Speaking to golf fashion blog the Khaki Crusader, Corey Lundberg, head professional at The Club at Carlton Woods, revealed the limits that the trends of older golfers have been placing on the types of golf apparel sold in the club's shop.

"I see a lot of styles that I like that I know would never sell in our shop. Golf can be a conservative game and our members reflect that," he said.

Mr Lundberg went on to explain there is a clear difference between having style and being "trendy".

Despite their reluctance to pounce on new golf fashion fads, he claimed his members have "great style" and claimed that he has to cater to their "slightly more sophisticated" tastes.

At this year's PGA Merchandise Show, bloggers from the Khaki Crusader chaired an expert panel on emerging trends in the golf apparel industry.
