Golf clothing manufacturer Glenmuir has announced the renewal of its corporate partnership with the PGAs of Europe. The golf apparel company provides support for a number of programmes and activities in the sport, particularly at grass roots level and it claims that working with official organisations on the continent will be a great way to strengthen its relationships outside of the UK.
Managing director of Glenmuir Colin Mee expressed his delight at the renewal.
"Particularly in countries where golf is just being developed, it is important for the … industry to support PGA professionals and help them to deliver the game in the correct way," he said.
Chief executive of the PGAs of Europe Ian Randell also welcomed the renewal, stating that Glenmuir "continue to be great supporters" of the sport.
Founded in 1891 by Scottish businessman Andrew MacDougall, the golf apparel firm started life as a hosiery factory in Kirkfieldbank before going on to supply 12 European Ryder Cup teams with knitwear and shirts for the competition.
