KVUE News reports that stars are set to compete in an effort to help victims of this problem at the forthcoming Lone Star Celebrity Golf Tournament.

Running from April 28th-29th, the event will benefit the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation and has been held annually since 1979.

Celebrities turning up in their golf clothing for this year's tournament include NFL stars, comedians, actors and musicians.

Amateurs who sign up for the event will also be treated to a night of comedy from Bill Engvall and company.

The event was founded by former football star Doug English, who invited players to sign up on the Lone Star Paralysis Foundation's website.

This comes after celebrities wore their golf apparel at the Special Olympics Texas' Coca-Cola Celebrity golf classic last month.
