Golf apparel to go on show in DenverGolf apparel will be among the products scheduled to be displayed at a forthcoming industry event in Denver.

The Denver Post reports that attendance for the Denver Golf Expo is predicted to eclipse the number of people who turned up for last year's show.

It consulted Mark Cramer, owner and organiser of the event, who claimed it is understandable that fans of the sport have tightened their belts in recent years.

"But I think that has left a pent-up demand for golfers to purchase new equipment or to go on a golf vacation this year or maybe just play more often," he said.

Golf apparel will go on show alongside collectibles, antiques, vacations and booths for more than 24 local courses.

A putting contest will also be held and attendees are invited to try out the latest clubs on an indoor driving range.

Earlier in the year, a wide range of golf apparel and other staples of the sport were exhibited at the PGA Merchandise Show.
