Golf fashion fans eager to hit the course may want to consider golf insurance before talking to the fairways, as such cover could offer them greater peace of mind.Bob Warters, editor of Golfmagic.com - which aims to bring golfers together through the internet - noted such policies can be a good idea for competitors as it will offer a safety net with regard to overseas travel, loss or damage and even delays that result in a pre-paid tee-time being missed.
The industry figure pointed out that golf can be a dangerous game, with balls being hit around the course at great speeds.
"Most golf insurers will cover you for treatment or hospitalisation in the event of you getting injured on the golf course," he noted.
Causing accidents on the fairways is more of a grey area, however, but is one golf apparel wearers may wish to think about when considering their insurance options.
