Golf clothing has been on display at an unusual tournament that saw competitors using their clubs to hit dough balls into the River Thames.More than 100 people took part in the second British Bread Golf Open, in which they were required to chip three specially-prepared bread spheres into a giant floating hole, the Surrey Comet reports.
The event was kicked off by councillor Barry O'Mahony, who sported full golf apparel as he attempted to score a hole-in-one.
More than £700 was generated for the charity Creative Youth on the day and Aniela Zaba, artistic director at the organisation - whose patrons include Little Britain actor Matt Lucas and Two Pints of Lager and a Packet of Crisps actress Sheridan Smith - said: "We support around 800 young people teaching them business skills and art skills so this kind of event is crucial to keep us going."
Participant Stuart Daniels emerged victorious in the contest, winning a coveted green golf jacket in the process.
