Golf clothing given to volunteers at tournamentGolf clothing is one of the perks that will be issued to those who volunteer for a forthcoming charity event.

The Athens Banner-Herald reports that former PGA Player Bob White is helping to stage the 4th annual Nationwide Tour Stadion Classic to be held in early May.

Funds from the event will go to need-based scholarships at the University of Georgia, in addition to a range of other charitable organisations in the Athens area.

The tournament's organisers have issued a call for volunteers and the publication revealed that golf apparel will be one of several items issued to these helpers.

"Volunteers will receive a package including clothing, tickets, food and coupons for free golf," said the Banner-Herald.

A recent Rotor.com article noted that entrants at the forthcoming Helicopter Foundation International's Second Annual Fundraising Golf Tournament would be given storage space for their luggage and an area to change into their golf apparel.
