Sales of golf clothing among US youngsters could be set to grow, following comments from two experts.

Golf clothing sales reps express desire to grow the sport locallyHelping youngsters learn how to play golf is a big step forward in ensuring the game has a bright future, two golf clothing professionals have suggested.

According to reports from MarionStar, Todd Holden and fiancee Devon Newell are the latest additions to the staff at the Marion Country Club in Delaware.

The news source stated the couple have been members of the institution for three years, but have now been enlisted to impart their knowledge of the game on locals - particularly youngsters.

They have both been involved in the game for many years and are also independent sales reps, specialising in golf apparel and accessories.

Speaking to the publication, Mr Holden said: "We are big advocates of promoting the game of golf to juniors. They will be the next generation."

And it is not only young US citizens who could start to increasingly hit the fairways in the future.

Keen celebrities continue to tee off in special tournaments around the world, such as the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am, which took place in February and saw the likes of Bill Murray and Andy Garcia join the field.
