Golf clothing will be worn by participants at a forthcoming celebrity event.The Daily Comet reports that the 24th annual Louisiana State University (LSU) Fighting Tigers Celebrity Golf Tournament, sponsored by the Bayou Bengal Booster Club, is to be held this Friday (29th April 2011).
It will be played in a five-person scramble format and will cover all 18 holes at the Ellendale Country Club.
Four amateur players will take to the fairways in their golf apparel along with one LSU coach, past athlete or celebrity tagging along.
Teams will need to pay $850 (£500) to enter, with individual players signing up for $210, a fee that includes mulligans.
"There will be prizes awarded in both flights for top net and gross teams. There will also be closest-to-the-hole, long-drive and straightest-drive prizes," the Daily Comet reported.
UK players keen to see celebrities adorned with golf clothing may wish to attend the Glasscare Celebrity Golf Tour event in May at the Five Lakes Hotel Golf and Country Club in Essex.
