Celebrities are to wear golf clothing at a forthcoming charity event.Tampa Bay Online reports that this year's Celebrity Golf Classic will see funds raised for the benefit of the San Antonio Rotary Club, Tampa Bay Golf and Country Club Relay for Life, an event held by the American Cancer Society.
Sporting stars from American football team the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and baseball players from the Jacksonville Jaguars will take to the fairways in golf apparel.
Arizona Cardinals kicker Jay Feely told the publication that the event is particularly important to him and his team-mates as many of them have been affected by cancer in some way.
The public can mingle with athletes while engaging in something worthwhile," he said. "They can ask the athletes questions they've always wanted to have answered."
Golf clothing will also be worn by sporting stars at the forthcoming Courtnall Celebrity Golf Classic, scheduled to begin this summer, the Times Colonist reports.
