Golf clothing has been worn by Australian sportsmen, who recently received tips on their game from professionals.Goldcoast.com.au's Rose Sadleir reported on the efforts of footballer Wendell Sailor and veteran cricketer Ian Healy, who took to the fairways in golf apparel at the recent ANZ RACV Ladies Masters Pro Am.
The retired sportsmen were handed guidance on various aspects of their game by professionals Laura Davies and Katherine Hull.
"[They] might be experts in their chosen fields, but when it comes to swinging a club they know they've got a lot to learn," said Ms Sadleir.
Sailor turned up to the course decked out in black golf clothing, which featured hints of orange trim.
He abandoned golf trousers in favour of a pair of dark shorts and opted to use a single glove to aid with his grip.
A recent Times Colonist article reported on plans for the Courtnall Celebirty Golf Classic, which will see Canadian athletes wear their golf apparel this summer.
