The golf clothing worn by some celebrity golfers has been noted in a new report into the sport's popularity among the stars.Writing for Bettor, golf pundit Carlos Rome looked at the ever-growing trend of celebrity golf.
He pictured Catherine Zeta Jones and Michael Douglas, famous celebrity couple and erstwhile golf fans, decked out in stylish golf apparel.
Mr Rome noted the popularity of the sport among younger stars, including Justin Timberlake, who he claimed is a highly talented golfer.
"Even after achieving so much, the pop sensation wants to become a professional golf player. That's something Timberlake can definitely dream about, seeing how good he is on the greens," he said.
Mr Rome also applauded the efforts of Dallas Cowboys' quarterback Tony Romo, who has tried to qualify for the US Open many times without success.
Celebrity golfers were recently out in force to take part in the pro-am tournament at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship.
