Golf clothing is being worn by workers in Augusta.
Published: 22 February 2011
Golf clothing has been worn by staff at a number of US firms which have abandoned their ties in favour of more casual attire. The Augusta Chronicle reports that workers at the SRPP Federal Credit Union in North Augusta are often to be found wearing golf apparel.
Similarly, Tina Selndak of Cheatham Fletcher Scott Architects noted the rise of business-casual golf clothes at her organisation.
"When we have presentations, usually the men will wear sport coats and ties. But for everyday (business), they wear golf shirts and slacks. Mr. Fletcher wants us to be comfortable but yet put out a professional image," she said.
However, employees at Jim Hudson Lexus are only permitted to wear golf shirts during the summer, when the weather is hot.
Staff at these firms may wish to head to the Denver Golf Expo after the Denver Post reported on the wide range of golf apparel going on show at the forthcoming event.
