An Australian rugby player who had dressed up in golf clothing for a charity event managed to flip his golf cart into a bunker. The Herald Sun recently reported on Mat Rogers of the Gold Coast Titans who sported golf apparel for the Rogers' Celebrity Golf Classic, the proceeds of which go to charity organisation 4ASD Kids.
Fortunately, Rogers emerged from the wreckage unscathed and despite some adverse weather conditions - the event raised plenty of funds for the group.
"There were celebrities galore at the charity weekend and they were digging deep into their pockets," said the publication.
Among the famous names taking to the fairways for the event were Charlotte Dawson, judge for Australia's Next Top Model - and comedienne Corinne Grant.
This comes after Woodlands Online reported on the Montgomery County Youth Services Celebrity Classic, hosted by PGA Tour Professional Jeff Maggert and participated in by a range of sporting stars.
