A golf fashion pundit has looked at the ongoing popularity of the white polo shirt in the sport.Writing for golf apparel blog the Khaki Crusader, columnist Annmarie Dodd claimed that the classic item of golf clothing is a "go-to" shirt for many players.
She revealed that she possesses a range of white polos and claimed she is "always on the search" for the perfect white golf apparel.
"Despite an industry's best efforts to create something new every season, golfers can't seem to quit the white polo," said Ms Dodd.
She went on to observe that her favourite thing about the white polo is that, unlike many of its counterparts, it can be worn equally well off the course, as well as on the fairways.
In a previous post for the site, correspondent Sean Hotchkiss claimed that golf clothing manufacturers are missing out by failing to translate modern menswear trends to the industry.
