Golf fashion pundit examines asymmetrical zipper trendA golf apparel commentator has examined the trend towards asymmetrical zippers.

Writing for the Khaki Crusader golf fashion blog, columnist Annmarie Dodd reported on her return from the recent PGA Merchandise Show and claimed she had been overwhelmed with the amount of new styles displayed there.

She noted that a number of golf clothing companies have been using asymmetrical zippers on products in their autumn lines for this year.

Ms Dodd claimed that an off-set zip can add a "utilitarian touch" to golf apparel and praised its use in one rain jacket.

She also observed that the trend has migrated to skirts and pointed to its use in the buttons of one item.

This comes after Sean Hotchkiss of the website commented on the divide between classic and alternative golf clothing.

He claimed that players Jonathan Byrd and Kelly Slater illustrated this schism and lamented the lack of brands who offer a combination of styles.
