A pundit in the golf fashion industry has paid his respects to legendary golfer Seve Ballesteros.Following a prolonged battle with cancer, the Spaniard died at his home last week at the age of 54.
Writing for the Chapeau Noir golf apparel blog, Mike McAllister recounted his memories of the renowned figure.
He recalled the golf clothing worn by Ballesteros during the final round of the 1986 Masters and claimed his charisma and self confidence often shone through.
"His swashbuckling style of play resulted in purposeful dishevelled look to which I aspire. His style, like his swing, wasn't put together or manufactured, it was pure Seve," said Mr McAllister.
Tributes for the late player have been coming in from around the world, with Tiger Woods hailing him as one of the most "talented and exciting golfers" of all time.
Similarly, Sir Nick Faldo chimed in, recounting Ballesteros' play at The 1988 Open Championship and noting the "style flare" and "passion" he showed on the day.
