A golf fashion writer has taken a look at the popular trend for nostalgic golf apparel.Writing on his golf fashion blog, the Khaki Crusader noted that many golf clothing manufacturers are increasingly drawing inspiration from golf apparel of the past.
He expressed approval of the combination of old-style golf clothing, updated with items which make the golf apparel feel "much more now".
"I'd like to see more companies take the approach of starting from that iconic place, but thoroughly revitalising - as opposed to doing a literal interpretation of 'heritage' pieces," said the Khaki Crusader.
He went on to state that golf clothing makers need to consider how they can avoid simply copying retro style and add modern touches, noting that although many have attempted this, few brands have succeeded.
