Golf news: Branden Grace has been named the best player for January.

Branden Grace has shown off both his golf fashion and prowess on the course in January to be named the Race to Dubai European Tour Golfer of the Month.The South African - who became a professional player in 2007 - secured two wins in his homeland during the four-week period to set himself up for a potentially explosive year.
He emerged victorious in the Joburg Open to collect his first European Tour triumph and went on to lift the trophy in the Volvo Golf Champions at The Links at Fancourt.
The recipient of the award was selected by an expert group that included members of the golfing public - and they decided to hand the accolade to Grace ahead of Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship winner Robert Rock.
Peter Dixon, Times columnist and member of the panel, described Rock's performance as "truly marvellous", but added: "Branden Grace's back-to-back victories were very impressive, particularly considering he had come through the Qualifying School only a few weeks earlier."
