Golf clothing brands Glenmuir and Sunderland have revealed new high-performance compression base layers are to form a part of their collections for Autumn 2011.Fans of the golf apparel labels may be excited to learn Glenmuir is incorporating the Hi-Cool moisture management system into its Baffin and Greta products, while Sunderland is using the ThermoCool Eco yarn for its Endurance base layer.
The Glenmuir option - Baffin for men and Greta for women - includes mock neck and a figure-hugging fabric.
It is designed to improve stamina and circulation, allowing the skin to breathe and enabling water vapour to escape with ease.
Brian Mair, marketing director at the brands, said: "Performance base layers benefit everyone, from super-fit Tour golfers to the casual player and many golfers will enjoy wearing them."
The release comes after a highly successful summer for Glenmuir, which saw teams dressed in its golf apparel triumph at the Walker Cup, the Jacques Leglise Trophy and the Vivendi Seve Trophy.
