Australia is to once again play host to the LPGA Tour.

Golf news: LPGA Tour heading to AustraliaIn golf news that is likely to excite women's golf apparel fans down under, it has been announced that the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) Tour is set to return to Australia.

It has been confirmed that the ISPS Handa Women's Australian Open will be added to the calendar next year, taking place between February 6th and 12th.

Supporters of the game will therefore get the opportunity to see an array of golf fashion when the competitors take to the fairways looking to perform their best.

Michal Whan, commissioner of the LPGA, said the regulatory body is "delighted to partner with Golf Australia to showcase some of the greatest golfers in the world in one of the greatest locations in world – the famous Melbourne Sandbelt".

He added credit must go to Golf Australia - which works in partnership with the Golf Society of Australia in an effort to preserve the history of the sport in the country - for making such a move possible.
