Glenmuir golf clothing wearer Paul Lawrie has claimed he has many happy memories of Celtic Manor golf course.Writing for his blog, the player - who is competing at the venue for the Saab Wales Open - noted he flew to the location from Aberdeen and relaxed with a meal of penne Bolognese and chips when he arrived.
He pointed out: "The hotel this week is one of the best we stay in all year so it's always a good week especially as I've won here before."
Lawrie - who recently lamented his performance in the Volvo World Match Play Championship, where he came out all-square with well-known golf apparel wearer Ian Poulter - revealed he has been trying out a new driver of late to help up his game from the tee.
He explained he is to give the club - a new Burner 2.0 - a run out on the course over the coming days.
