The number of people purchasing comfortable and stylish golf apparel could be set to rise, following comments from a PGA Tour professional.

The number of keen golfers wanting to buy new performance golf shirts or fashionable golf trousers to wear on the fairways could be set to soar following comments from a PGA Tour professional.Speaking to Golf Week's golf fashion blog writer Ashley Crain, Webb Simpson - who has so far registered two top-20 finishes on the tour this season - outlined the importance of good golf apparel.
"I don't study fashion ideas but looking nice and feeling comfortable is very important to me," he said, before explaining that his father always encouraged him to dress appropriately "both on and off the golf course" since he was young.
Other golfers who obviously take their choice of golf apparel seriously are Paul Lawrie, Ian Woosnam, Gordon Law, Mickey Walker and Marjet van der Graaff, among others.
