One player has told the difficulties he faced trying to reason with a course over a golf apparel issue.Writing in the Abbotsford Times, columnist Brent Arnett spoke about the golf clothing problems he encountered at the Mission Golf Club.
After bringing a visiting friend for a game at his local course, Mr Arnett was informed that his golfing comrade would be unable to play due to his lack of appropriate golf apparel.
"I tried to reason with the pro shop and I must admit he was better dressed than most at the course, but … he had no collar," he said.
Mr Arnett went on to reveal that this incident put him off becoming a member at the club and said he was "disturbed" that the course refused to make an exception.
Earlier in the month, the Scotsman told the story of one golfer who was banned from playing at the Royal Troon club after he turned up to tee off wearing a kilt.
