Green golf clothing 'popular among female consumers'Eco-friendly golf clothing is the latest trend among female consumers, it has been claimed.

ABC 15 columnist Denise Naughton recently consulted Heidi Wright, owner the pro shop at the Wildfire Golf Club in Arizona, who claimed that versatile and environmentally-sound golf apparel is increasingly sought after by women.

"Overall, women want something that can take them from the course to brunch with the ladies," she told the publication.

Ms Naughton went state that items of golf clothing made with built-in protection from UV rays and sun burn is "big right now", as are "bling" products.

Similarly, she advised consumers to avoid subtle colours and opt for golf apparel made with "vibrant" shades, such as pink and green.

Earlier in the month, Scandasia.com reported that novice golfers at Keppel Club Driving Range in Singapore had been warned to pick comfortable attire when taking to the course, where only sport-appropriate clothing is permitted.
