An industry pundit has noted the massive range of golf clothing which was displayed at the recent PGA Merchandise show.Writing in his Score Golf blog, columnist Bob Weeks claimed it is hard to imagine how large the exhibition space at the event actually is.
"There's roughly one million square feet of exhibit space being filled with clubs, balls and bags at one end, clothing at the other," he said.
Mr Weeks spoke to a number of golf apparel companies and stopped off for a chat with Matt Kuchar, who was there to promote his equipment sponsor.
He talked about his performance in the RBC Canadian Open last year and spoke about his hopes for this year's season.
Mr Weeks also consulted 15-year-old golf prodigy Lexi Thompson, who had applied to the LPGA for a special waiver which would her enable to play professionally, but was denied.
The wide range of golf apparel on show at the event was also explored by John Kim, who took to the show on behalf of the PGA.
