New funding for Scotland could drive huge demand for new golf clothing among keen players in the country.

The number of people in need of golf apparel like golf waterproofs, argyle golf knitwear or fashionable golf shirts could thanks to new funding from the Scottish government.According to sportscotland - the national agency for sport - a package worth £1 million is to be set aside to support the country's top golfers as they attempt to turn professional, as well as a further £1 million to go towards coaching, the academy programme and the strategic development of the sport.
Commenting on the announcement, first minister Alex Salmond said that the funding will go a long way to giving every child in the nation access to the game.
"It will also build on the success of clubgolf, our national junior programme, which has introduced golf to record numbers of children in Scotland - almost 40,000 primary five pupils last year," he explained.
With so much money being pumped into the game, it could be that a multitude of new players find themselves in need of golf clothing for their time spent on the course.
