Make sure apparel fits, players advisedPlayers have been advised to make sure their golf apparel fits properly before taking to the fairways.

Writing for golf fashion blog the Khaki Crusader, columnist Sean Hotchkiss warned golfers about the dangers of attire impeding a swing.

"When purchasing golf sweaters/jumpers, it's smart to make sure your forearm fits snugly, so it's not interfering with your ability to hit the shot," he said.

Mr Hotchkiss went on to state that "technical blends" which allow some stretching can also be a boon to players as the sleeve will snap back to its former shape after being worn.

He highlighted the issue by citing a photograph of golf legend Arnold Palmer at a Masters tournament.

In the snap, Palmer has the sleeves of his sweater rolled all the way up past his elbow, which Mr Hotchkiss noted is a move that is not normally seen in the modern game.

In a previous article for the website, columnist Annmarie Dodd hailed the golf clothing of Morgan Pressel.
