Mark Wahlberg is likely to retire and wear golf apparel when he turns half-a-century.

Mark Wahlberg might soon be wearing his golf apparel more often. Hollywood star Mark Wahlberg is likely to sport his golf apparel more regular once he turns 50, as the performer has hinted he may quit the acting game and take to the fairways when he reaches the milestone.

Known for his roles in The Fighter and The Departed, Wahlberg told USA Today that he originally intended to leave the business when he hit 40 - an age he recently reached.

The celebrity noted, however, that he has not worn his golf clothing in a while after a dip in form on the greens.

"I do plan on slowing down the pace of work, but maybe 50 is a more realistic number," he added.

Turning half-a-century might therefore see Wahlberg regain his composure out on the courses and result in him sporting his golf apparel on a more regular basis.

Before then, fans of the star can expect to see him in upcoming films Broken City and Good Time Gang.
