The Face of Newcastle winner will get the opportunity to wear golf clothing for a year.
Published: 25 August 2011
A host of attractive women in the north-east look set to battle it out for the chance to wear golf apparel for a year. This is because prizes in the Face of Newcastle beauty competition include a year's free membership at Linden Hall Golf and Country Club - which is situated in 450 acres of private land - and free coaching from the venue's manager Sam Oliver, Journal Live reports.
Laura McDonald, director of the agency I am Models and organiser of the contest, arranged a photo shoot to advertise the prize, in which she swapped golf clothing for a tight blue dress and posed with a driver.
Ms McDonald explained she is very passionate about the game, having played it since the age of ten, noting she asked all the finalists of the beauty competition if they liked the sound of the added prizes.
"All of them, without exception, said yes, they would love to have a go at golf if they had the chance," she added.
