Published: 22 February 2012
Paul Lawrie has been displaying both fine form and golf fashion in recent weeks, with the competitor gearing up for the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson, Ariozona. The Scot - who is supported by Glenmuir golf clothing - will be competing with countryman Martin Laird at the contest, the Scotsman reports.
And Laird has noted his compatriot has been performing well on the fairways of late, including an impressive victory in Qatar.
Laird said: "Paul, in particular, has been playing fantastic recently which is great to see."
The 29-year-old claimed it was no surprise to see Lawrie close the tournament so well, as his form over the past few months - including fine displays towards the tail-end of last year - has been encouraging.
Lawrie recently stated one of his biggest aims is to win the Scottish Open, as the Castle Stuart Golf Links course is located just a small distance from his home in Aberdeenshire, adding it would be a great honour to triumph at such a competition.
