Prize offered for 'redneck' golf apparelA prize is to be offered to the player judged to be wearing the best "redneck" golf apparel at a forthcoming event.

Suburban Journals reports that the 6th annual Wacky Golf Scramble is set to kick off on June 24th at Diekroeger Park in Wright City, Missouri.

The theme for this year's event is "redneck" and players will be judged on their attire as they participate in the scramble-style miniature golf game.

A prize will be awarded to the player found to have best personified this aesthetic with their golf clothing.

Players must pay $25 (£15) to enter the event alone or $100 to join as a team of four.

The price includes happy hour, dinner and covers the cost of any prizes that will be given out.

Local businesses have also been called on to sponsor a hole, in exchange for exclusive advertising rights for that part of the course.

Golf apparel is one of the many prizes set to be given out by the Temple Terrace Golf and Country Club in Florida at a forthcoming auction at the venue, the Extra Holes in Polk County blog recently reported.
