A golf fashion pundit has welcomed a move towards shorter sleeves
Published: 08 April 2011
An industry commentator has welcomed a move towards shorter sleeves in the field of golf clothing.Writing for the Khaki Crusader blog, columnist Annmarie Dodd examined the golf apparel fielded by players at the Masters this week and noted the trend seems to be gaining ground.
"A miracle is occurring at the Masters. One that’s been hinted at, whispered about and moving glacially for some time - golf shirt sleeves are rising to heights unseen in decades," she said.
The pundit went on to claim that this issue has long been a problem when transferring golf wear to everyday life and expressed her approval of the better-fitting golf clothing.
However, Ms Dodd warned that if this momentum is to keep going, it must be proven that a great round can be played in a performance golf shirt that fits.
Her comments follow a Chapeau Noir article from Mike McAllister, in which he previewed the golf apparel scripts of players at the Masters this week.
