REM bassist Mike Mills could be wearing golf clothing on a more regular basis as a consequence of his band's decision to call it quits.Golf.com notes the musician is a big fan of the 18-hole game and often attends some of the world's biggest events - such as the Ryder Cup, the Masters and the British Open.
And following the break-up of REM - whose hit singles include Everybody Hurts, Man on the Moon, Losing My Religion and The Sidewinder Sleeps Tonight - Mills and the group's manager Bertis Downs, another golf fanatic, could be hitting the course in golf apparel with their newfound spare time.
Indeed, such is Mills's obsession with the sport, he was even pictured with Davis Love at a party held to celebrate the professional's PGA Championship victory in 1997.
The website noted Bill Berry - the longtime drummer in the band - is also a keen golfer.
