Manchester may be about to get golf fashion fever after the Playgolf Academy near the city's Trafford Centre was reopened this week.About £50,000 has been spent on improving facilities at the centre, which may entice more people in the area to give the sport a go and buy golf clothing.
The famous face on hand to help with the unveiling of the new-look Playgolf Academy was Sale Sharks and England rugby union international Mark Cueto, who is a regular at the venue.
He told Manchester Evening News that golf is his second favourite sport behind his day job, which may encourage rugby union fans to see what they look like in golf apparel.
Cueto claimed that his game has improved massively since taking lessons at the facility, adding: " I gave it up for a time but got back into it when I discovered several of my team-mates played so we enjoy a few rounds."
According to the Playgolf Academy, its professional coaches give 1,000 tuition sessions each month.
