A rock star is set to join amateur players decked out in golf clothing for a forthcoming charity event.Founding member of Hootie and the Blowfish Mark Bryan will take to the fairways in his finest golf apparel this May as he participates in the Spirit of Caring Golf Tournament for 2011.
Money raised at the event will go to the Roper St Francis Healthcare Nursing Scholarship Fund - which provides financial assistance to nursing students, in addition to aiding professional nurses in financing advanced degree courses.
Bryan expressed his excitement for the forthcoming tournament and revealed that he would be stationed at a secret location on the course.
"As usual, I can't wait to get out on the course, but this time I have extra inspiration. I'll be there to support the many nurses who spend hour after hour on their feet caring for the sick," he said.
Ultimate Kingwood recently reported on the Special Olympics Texas' Coca-Cola Celebrity Golf Classic, which saw sports and media personalities take to the fairways in golf clothing.
