Golf apparel wearers might want to consider insuring their equipment.

Golf apparel wearers will know clubs can be expensive.People who are serious about the sport might find that insuring any golf gifts they receive turns out to be a wise move, given the expense involved in playing the game.

Bob Warters, editor of news provider Golfmagic.com - which aims to bring golfers together through the internet - has advised dedicated competitors to obtain cover for any costly equipment.

The expert noted a driver can set a person back £400, while a full set of clubs may be as dear as £1,000.

He explained a powered trolley used by individuals to get them around the course can also cost around £500.

"Best to make sure you're fully covered for their replacement as new, even if locked away in the boot while having a post-round pint at your local course," Mr Warters added.

Taking out insurance may therefore offer great peace of mind for golf apparel wearers both on and off the fairways.
