A warning over golf apparel has been issued to players heading to a forthcoming day of equipment demonstrations.Canyon City's Friday Flyer recently reported on the Golf Demo Day, being held today (March 25th) at Canyon Lake Country club.
Amateurs turning up to the event will have the opportunity to test out a range of equipment from the likes of Adams Golf, Cleveland, Srixon and Cobra.
However, the club made it known that it has very strict rules regarding what golf clothing can be worn on its fairways.
"Any person not in proper attire will not be permitted to practice. Men's shirts must have a fold-down collar. Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times," said the publication.
Clothing specifically named as banned by the club included tube tops, tank tops, bare midriffs, short shoes, cutoffs, denim jeans and halter tops.
The golf clothing worn by amateurs at Royston Golf Club was relatively relaxed, as they sported items of tartan for an anniversary tournament held in honour of the venue, the Royston Crow reported.
