A sports pundit has listed winter golf clothing as one of the top reasons to play the game during cold weather.Writing for Golf Monthly, columnist Michael Weston claimed that golf apparel has undergone a "major transformation" in recent years.
"Gone are the baggy, heavy and uninspiring garments of yesteryear and in their place are vibrant colours and lightweight, waterproof and breathable alternatives," he said.
Mr Weston went on to state that those who enjoy a bit of variety in their golf fashion will be looking forward to playing golf this winter.
Another of his top reasons for playing the sport over the festive period is Links golf, which he said "comes into its own" during periods of cold weather due to its resistance to frost and mud.
In a previous article for the website, Mr Weston reviewed the Nike VR Pro driver and hailed it as ideal for golfers seeking to optimise their distance.
