Writer laments missed golf fashion opportunitiesA golf fashion blogger has lamented the lack of modern golf apparel available for today's consumer.

Writing in golf fashion blog the Khaki Crusader, columnist Sean Hotchkiss claimed that golf clothing manufacturers are missing the opportunity to incorporate contemporary menswear styles into their attire.

"Whenever I go to fashion events … I'm always surprised just how much cool stuff is out there in menswear that could easily translate to the course," he said.

Mr Hotchkiss went on to lament the fact that golf clothing makers are not capitalising on modern styles and stated that brands such as Trovota, General Idea and Bespoken make apparel which would work well on the fairways.

He also mourned the "giant hole" for fresh ideas in the golf clothing market and claimed that manufacturers could draw inspiration from items "sitting on racks".

In a previous blog post, the Khaki Crusader examined the popular golf clothing trend of power stripes.
