There was a nautical style to Bernhard Langer's golf apparel on the first day of the US PGA Championship, which he is currently joint leader of.

Legendary golfer Bernhard Langer showed that he has his finger on the pulse in terms of fashion as he sported a cracking outfit during the first round of the US PGA Championship. In windy conditions, Langer managed an eagle during the first day of the event at Colorado Golf Course and is leading the pack alongside Robin Freeman on six under par.
Langer appeared to be well aware of how fashionable nautical stripes are at the moment, as he teamed a red and white striped performance golf shirt with pure white golf trousers and a white visor to keep the sun out of his eyes.
He remarked: "The wind was blowing pretty good again and anywhere I would guess from 15 to 35 miles an hour depending upon what gusts you are getting and it wasn't consistent either from the same direction."
This Senior Tour competition began yesterday (May 27th) and will run until May 30th, with $2 million (£1.3 million) prize pot on offer to the players taking part.
