Golfer's wear extra layers in cold weather.The cold weather has seen many golfers taking to the course with extra layers of golf apparel.

Talking to SF Gate, AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am defending champion Steve Lowery said that it can be tough for some players to take to the course with lots of clothes on.

"But you've got to embrace it," he noted.

The article comments that "chilly temperatures, strong winds and a brief hailstorm" greeted players at the PGA Tour this week.

And the weather at the AT& T event was no different.

SF Gate says that "no fewer than nine" players and caddies donned golf hats as they took to the course to practice.

Not all golfers were fazed by the chilly conditions however, with Mike Weir telling the source that he was used to the cold after playing golf in the snow whilst growing up in Canada.

Golfers looking for warmer climes to tee off in could consider a trip to Cyprus, as the island has recently seen a number of new courses built.
